Today’s Adventure Is…Sunny California.

Well, as most of you have realized, I took a small break from blogging. Ok, it was a very long break that lasted almost three months. I’m ashamed and I’m sorry. Now, let’s move on. Thank you for your forgiveness.

So much has happened over these past two months that it’s even hard to summarize in one blog post, but I am going to try. So, grab a cup of joe, sit down in a comfy chair and let’s talk.

First and foremost, I moved back to the United States of America. It is hard to even express how much pride I now have for my homeland after being away from it for a year. I know most of you would respond with some snarky comment about our government and how the country is going down the toilet, blah, blah, politics, blah, blah, (p.s. Don’t even bother leaving a comment about your political views because that’s not what this is about.) but this country is my home. I love America and that includes all of it’s quirks and stupidy that comes along with it.

Secondly, I moved out of my hometown (Chicagoland) and moved across the country to sunny California. There were just too many songs written about California that I just had to see what all of the hub-bub was about. Not. I’m just kidding. Once again, Mr. C is guiding this part of our life adventure and I living the dream. He got a job out on Sunset Boulevard (what up?!) working for a music software company doing music techy things that I could not describe to you even if I tried really hard. I am so proud of him that he is starting his career and doing things that he is so deeply passionate about.

So I drove my car across the country and we found a little one bedroom apartment in LA where Mr. C and I will continue our adventures. Some aspects of this blog will stay the same, but some will change just as my life has.

Comment if you have any recommendations to places in LA we should check out!

Anyway, Happy Tuesday, everyone!

  1. I grew up in Southern California and lived there until I was 25! There’s tons to do! If you haven’t already, go to all the amusement parks, and hike! I never knew how many great hikes were in that area until after a moved away! Now whenever my husband and I go back to visit we plan on going on adventures that we missed out on

  2. I highly recommend going to the piers and any local farmers market. Santa Monica is so beautiful and a wonderful place to go shopping too. So excited to see where this adventure lead you.
