I have a problem and Spain is not helping. I am obsessed with coffee and trying out new cafés. Since most of my job is online now, I like to find new environments to do my work to keep things interesting. Therefore, it is no surprise that I found another café that I love and wanted to share.
Jardin Urbano is a fun eclectic tapas café in Valencia right outside of Ruzafa. They have created a very comfortable atmosphere that allows people to want to stay for a while. Plus, free wifi! (That is a little hard to find in Valencia.) When it comes to décor, there is so much to look at. The walls are full of colorful paintings and bookshelves with plenty of interesting books to browse through. There is also a furry friend that is almost always there to greet you at the entrance. The owner’s dog, Coccolino, has turned into the cafés mascot.
The best part? It never closes. Many places here have strange hours due to siesta. In Valencia, they take their siestas very seriously. For those of you that do not know, siesta is an afternoon rest or nap in the middle of the day, usually between 2pm and 5pm. Sounds great right? Well, it’s only great if you participate in siesta. Otherwise, you might be walking for a while to find a café that is open.
Jardin Urbano has quickly become one of my favorite little cafés to do large amounts of work. If you are one of my study abroad readers, go check this place out! It is a great place to hang out with your friends, get some work done or just say hi to Coccolino!
